WHY: The Austin Metro region is experiencing rapid population increase and urban growth with associated demands on infrastructure. This growth impacts a cross section of industries across our region - industries that are in many ways scrambling to keep up with the pace while serving their constituents. The choices we make now will shape our sense of place, quality of life, infrastructure and resources, and regional resilience for decades to come.
WHAT: This research will clarify critical issues and themes across the metro while also identifying the unique characteristics of each of the 5 metro counties: Travis, Williamson, Bastrop, Caldwell, and Hays.
